• Job Summary :
• Lead Firmware Engineer should participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle (Requirements, Design, Coding, Testing, and Release) following a structured engineering process to ensure quality and reliability
• Understand Technology Trends, Define strategy and come up with solutions that provides competetive advantage
• Enrich & foster climate of innovation to drive growth & accelerate capability development.
• Work on engineering and software specification of new product/platform solutions that meet the stated market requirements for performance, cost, and functionality
• Job Responsibilities :
• Main focus of Lead Firmware Engineer is Firmware Development for Circuit protection Devices.
• Should contribute in product development & technology innovation by understanding product requirements, design & development, validation & feature enhancements using programming languages like Assembly, C on embedded systems.
• Should be proficient with current firmware development technology, tools and practices, and have capabilities of quickly learning new tools
• Basic Hardware Design Knowledge and Hardware/Firmware Debugging Skills
• Develops an understanding of both technology and product concepts and is able to articulate product and software design . Ensures quality of delivery in accordance with the plan adhering to the standard practices used in agile/waterfall model.
• Suggest and develop re-usable components and looks for continuous improvement opportunities. Share knowledge within the team and demonstrates flexibility working in parallel on multiple assignments/product categories
• Participate in solution and code reviews with team members for modules/tasks and ensuring that best practices and efficient coding standards are adhered to.
• Propose and provide innovative, competitive technical solutions which can make significant business impact and provide value to stakeholders.
• Protects intellectual property through patents/ disclosures
• Estimate workload, establish and maintain project schedules and monitor progress through the project execution phases
• Collaborate with external and internal customers, such as Product Management, Operations and other Engineering teams during the product development life cycle
Qualifications Requirement:
• Master s or Batchelor Degree in Electronics / Electronics and Communication Engineering.
• Embedded C, RTOS
• Demonstrated knowledge of Embedded Firmware development with 16 Bit / 32 Bit microcontrollers
• Experience with Agile methodologies and scrum teams is preferable
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with various cultures across the globe
• Solution orientated and capable of working in a matrix organization
• Capable of creating create competitive and breakthrough strategies & plans
