Job Description

Be part of the Asia Pacific Network team and work on different WAN,LAN,Wi-Fi,VPN and Security operations and projects. Some of the interesting projects would be the ones on SD-WAN, User VPN etc.As a Network Engineer, you will be part of our APAC Network and Security Team and help in:- Troubleshooting LAN/Wi-Fi/WAN/User VPN issues with local IT Teams and work on user tickets sticking to the SLAs.- Work closely with a geographically distributed team.As part of project deliveries, you will have to :- Work on different New office/DC network build projects in India - Work on user/machine migration for the newly built office/DC - might need to work on weekends as well - Work on LAN refresh projects across APAC - Installation, configuration and go live for switches - SD-WAN deployment at different remote sites in APAC - User VPN deployment and testing across APAC - Learn and obtain command over automation tools like Ansible,Jenkins, Python etc.As part of operations, you will have to :- Perform frequent switch/router configuration,VLAN changes, switch/router port configuration, Wi-Fi activation, firmware upgrades etc.- Raise tickets with ISPs and work with them for circuit issues across APAC- Perform the deep troubleshooting on LAN/Wi-Fi/User VPN issues with service ops teams and end users- Perform first level investigation on WAN issues- Create and maintain documentation on different network topics.- Keep the network inventory tool upto date for APAC region.- Make sure that the cable/equipment labelling is done as per the standard and well maintained at Pune Campus and DC- Maintain a well dressed cabling system at Pune DC and Campus The Challenges ahead As part of operations, you will have to :- Perform frequent switch/router configuration,VLAN changes, switch/router port configuration, Wi-Fi activation, firmware upgrades etc. - Raise tickets with ISPs and work with them for circuit issues across APAC - Perform the deep troubleshooting on LAN/Wi-Fi/User VPN issues with service ops teams and end users - Perform first level investigation on WAN issues - Create and maintain documentation on different network topics. - Keep the network inventory tool upto date for APAC region. - Make sure that the cable/equipment labelling is done as per the standard and well maintained at Pune Campus and DC - Maintain a well dressed cabling system at Pune DC and Campus Your key success factors B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering or a related discipline from premier institutions with good academic track records. Good Knowledge on Routing and Switching design Excellent Understanding of routing and switching protocols including but not limited to: BGP,OSPF,HSRP,VRRP,Spanning Tree Excellent Understanding of VLANs, SVIs, port-channels, Trunk etc. Good Knowledge on concepts like SSL VPN, IPSeC, Wi-Fi, NAT etc. Good understanding of concepts like DHCP and DNS. Basic understanding of concepts like firewalls,DMZ,micro-segmentation etc. Basic understanding of Ansible,Python, rest API usage etc Good to have some hands on experience in Cisco switches/routers. Good to have a valid CCNA (200-301) certification Good to have if any paper presentation done on any networking topic during the egineering course Good to have if the engineering project submitted is on any networking topic Strong Problem solving skills Adaptability, ability to learn faster, independent, responsible and diligent. Good team spirit and interpersonal skills Excellent written & verbal communication skills, analytical skills & Business thinking. Achieves performance goals and objectives in line with the team strategy.and most importantly, should be intensely inspired to learn and excel in the field of networking,
