    Job Title: Major Incident ManagerBusiness Area: GISTo be filed out by Compensation:Job Code: Job Tier: AssociateJob Family:FLSA: Position Summary: Describe below the primary purpose and function of this jobThe Major Incident Manager/Service Availability Manager plays a vital role in maintaining critical infrastructure and system availability. The primary function of the role is to quickly identify and address issues that compromise the integrity of business critical/ business impacting systems.Key Duties & Responsibilities: List up to 5 key duties and responsibilities, management responsibilities and time spent (if applicable)Mandatory SkillsPerform Incident Management/TriageWork closely with the Change management and Production Support team.Perform critical monitoring for production systems and take required steps to remediate business impact.Infrastructure KnowledgeProvide support for critical batch processing activities including major Unified processing streams for OMNI and Autosys responsible taking job actions.Perform maintenance for Automated Telephone System including isolating traffic to mitigate impact.Perform routine maintenance recycles for critical applications and servers.Basic Unix and Windows skill/understandingBasic Database, Middleware and batch job processing skill/understandingBasic skillsProvides 16X7 on call/ in office support to restore failed core infrastructure components, utilizing support tools and vendor support Coordinates troubleshooting and restoration of complex issues through the use of technical abilities and tools Provides technical guidance, oversight, and mentoring to team members as a subject matter expert Demonstrates high responsiveness for technology issues; resolves issues quickly and efficiently Drives problems to root cause through partnership with Application Development and engineers, ensuring knowledge is captured for future events Designs, plans and implements high-availability core infrastructure systems Develops Software configuration management standards and performs data de-identification and provisioning Provides disaster recovery support by testing, reviewing, and supporting disaster recovery plans on a routine basis Supports projects at the request of business partners Documents and tracks hardware and software configuration, migration, testing and deployment solutionsProblem Solving: What is nature and complexity of the problems or decisions encountered Are analytical skills needed Functional Knowledge: What knowledge of concepts, process, principles or procedures is needed within discipline; SME Retirement domain, BFSIBusiness or Industry Expertise: Describe the degree of knowledge and understanding required of TIAAs business and industry, commercial environment and of competitors products and services.06 - 10 years of relevant work experienceInteractions / Interpersonal Skills: Describe the nature and level of interactions this job has with others, both internally and externally.
