DescriptionThe Infrastructure Operations Specialist focuses upon administration of central and/or local data centres, legacy and/or centralized infrastructure, standards and requirements and provides support for the availability of Vodafone IT applications and Data Centre activities and database environments. The Infrastructure Operations Specialist has a good understanding of established concepts and procedures in internal network infrastructure, data availability and technical support for customers (internal and external) gained through extensive practical experience and works with colleagues to monitor hardware and software in datacentres, and execute event/incident, configuration, escalation, release, deployment and 3rd party database management activities. Typically reports to the Infrastructure Operations Manager. The Infrastructure Operations Specialist has a good understanding of established concepts and procedures in internal network infrastructure, data availability and technical support for customers (internal and external) gained through extensive practical experience and works with the colleagues to deliver monitoring of HWandSW in datacentres, and executing event/incident, configuration, escalation, release, deployment and 3rd party database management activities. Typically reports to the Infrastructure Operations Manager.Job ResponsibilityMinimum 2 yrs of hands-on production experience on Kubernetes. Extensive knowledge in Kubernetes, service mesh istio, EKS, GKE and ansible. Extensive troubleshooting skill in docker and CRI. Architectural understanding of Kubernetes components and objects. Kubernetes installation hand on experience in both on-prem and public cloud mainly in AWS. Experience in deploying Kubernetes using IaC (Terraform and ansible ) Kubernetes network access control between namespaces. CNS understanding, CALICO, vxLAN and overlay networking of Kubernetes. Role-based access control, SELinux context understanding with Kubernetes, Experience in deployments like monitoring stack and logging stack. AWS cloudwatch integration with eks and Kubernetes for metric and logging visualization. Storage class understanding and pv resizing with EBS. Monitoring and capacity planning of Kubernetes cluster. Introducing custom monitoring alert based by using automation scripts etc. CI/CD pipeline understanding and deployment planning, implementation of CI/CD pipeline based on requirement. Good understanding of Jenkins, GoCD (optional) and its integration. Understanding of helm chart and artifactory like sonatype nexus and Vmware harbour.
