Job Description

    * Duties and Responsibilities - MAJOR CHALLENGES (Challenges faced on an on-going basis in carrying out the job) Doing Bank level BD for all major Banks in the country Overcoming the entry barrier of establishing Bajaj Pay as an neutral aggregator as banks see BFL as a competition Pitching and convincing Banks to participate with BFL for Acquirer and Non-Acquirer models Managing internal (BFL) and external (Bank) expectations on rates & business respectively Delivering the proof of concept of the EDC POS Acquiring business to the bank partners (since it is a new venture for the company) Managing iterative course correction to refine the go to market strategy and deliver the business model 5. DECISIONS (Key decisions taken by job holder at his/her end) Defining and executing of the go to market strategy for Banking partnerships jointly with Banks keeping best interest of both parties in mind. Deciding on prioritization of banks for partnership basis best fitment with Bajaj Pay strategy and synergy of tech capabilities of both organizations Key commercial decisions with banks on Aggregator as well as Non-Aggregator business models Optimizing margins and driving revenue gains 6. INTERACTIONS (Key working relationships a job holder needs to have INSIDE and OUTSIDE the company to accomplish the job) Internal Clients Roles you need to interact with inside the organization to enable success in your day to day work The role holder will interact with the below internal stakeholders for deciding and taking approval on key strategies and ensuring implementation via all relevant internal teams EDC BH EDC Sales Team EDC POS Acquiring Product Team Payments Product & COE SMT stakeholders External Clients Roles you need to interact with outside the organization to enable success in your day to day work The role holder will interact with the below external stakeholders for onboarding and deal closure: All Banks Acquiring Heads and other Bank SMT Key network stakeholders (Visa Mastercard Rupay) Bigger Merchant partners Potential large BD partners (Sodexo Amazon Pay etc) DIMENSIONS (Key numerical data which will reflect the scope and scale of activities concerning this job) Financial Dimensions (These should be quantifiable numerical amounts) Our Goal will be to become Top 5 Payments company in India on both Issuance and Acquiring side. Hence financial goals will be quite large. Year on year target & budget will be created in each Financial year as part of Annual Operating Plan . Other Dimensions (Significant volume dimensions associated with the job) Total Team Size: Team Manager Number of Direct Reports: 2 Number of Indirect Reports:0 Number of products: Single (EDC POS) * Duties and Responsibilities - 1. Core Responsibilities Establishing relationships with various Banks and their Merchant Acquiring Teams from 55 Banks across the country Establishing and maintaining relationships with all Networks (Visa Rupay Mastercard) to enable network registration. Machine certification and other regulatory formalities Getting the best acquiring rates from all major Banks for the Aggregator business by emphasizing on existing franchise of BFL and large distribution network; Also to determine best profitable rates for Bajaj Pay and to ensure business continuity by onboarding multiple banks Closing non-aggregator deals and commercials with all major banks establish Bajaj Pay as a preferred partner with these banks and enable smooth relationship with banks field sales teams. Regular engagement with all Banks and their acquiring teams to work together to grow the BFL EDC Acceptance business Monitoring the MCC-wise biz for all Bank partners and work with internal teams to drive outcomes in line with the MCC strategy planned with various banks Monthly / Quarterly engagement with various Banks on the monthly volumes as well as MCC-wise split to manage expectations and ensure availability of good acquiring rates from banks Working with the EDC Product team Business Head & Sales teams to maximize the Business profitability by enabling various VAS initiatives like Acceptance of Sodexo points Amazon Pay Payback points etc on Machines as well as Bank reward points 2. Project planning and review Identify and conceptualize solutions and projects basis business problem identified and in consultation with concerned stakeholders in business Define parameters to track projects progress and address the roadblocks faced by team during project development and implementation Review progress of projects undertaken to ensure they are delivered and implemented on time and share the learnings from past projects with team as well as incorporate them in future projects Engage with GBH & President to seek inputs in design of critical projects and provide updates of projects being driven. 3. Efficiency enhancement Scan the external environment and identify best practices to generate ideas for developing long-term capabilities across verticals in EDC business Identify process/ operational improvements to be driven and engage with IT team to drive these improvements Analyze Banking partnership processes and requirements in collaboration with others acquiring business teams and enable the same via technology customization and implementation Identify gaps in current operational risk management processes and drive solutioning (such as design of inbuilt checks etc.) to manage them effectively Drive key customer experience projects & governance management to deliver on NPS. 4. Team development Participate in recruitment process to identify the right talent for positions within the team Establish individual performa , * SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE (Minimum acceptable proficiency for this job which best indicates the education and/or experience requirements of this job and not the incumbent) Educational Qualifications a) Qualifications MBA from a reputed institute with a minimum 14+ years of experience b) Work Experience Minimum 6-7 years of EDC POS acquiring experience handing Banking relationships is mandatory Experience of handling large bank relationships directly in the past is mandatory Experience of handling Networks (Visa, Mastercard, Rupay) will be an added benefit Team management, for a senior level team Strong bias for action & driving results in a high-performance environment. Should have excellent communication skills and strong analytical skills. Exceptionally high motivation levels and needs to be a self-starter Candidates worked with Pine Labs, Innoviti, FDC/Fiserv etc will be preferred
