The DWE program aspires to be the platform of choice for economies moving into the Digital first world of payments. We are building a solution and an ecosystem to enable the Mastercard multi-rail capabilities into these markets, building a Digital Payment Hub that integrates with Mastercard and Industry Payment processing and management solutions both in the online and offline world. Our positioning puts us right in the middle of 3 key dimensions tIntegrating with a varied set of global and regional Payments solutions, tEnsuring Security as we deliver services in both an API-first approach and over mobile platforms, and tBuilding an unique customer experience coupled with a set of compelling user journeys, meeting the ever growing and varied Digital financial needs of consumers.We are looking for a passionate, innovative and highly skilled architect with proven experience in conceptualizing and architecting FinTech solutions (preferably in the Payments domain) while leveraging Mastercard s technological capabilities to solve partner business problems, create new propositions, influencing and communicating far reaching architectural and strategic technology decisions.Role We live by the Mastercard Way cultural values every day - own it, simplify it, sense of urgency, thoughtful risk taking, unlock potential, and be inclusive with a relentless focus on our customers. As a Principal Architect at Mastercard, you will be the Technology driving force within the program and will be responsible expected to perform the following general duties: tWork with business/product owners to architect and deliver on new services to introduce new capabilities and user journeys tDrive the architectural design, including dependent services, service interactions, and policies tTake ownership to improve the customer experience of an entire set of services/applications sold as products or bundled services tTake a business-value driven approach to all technology decisions while driving adoption of new technologies and capabilities within the program tLead by example with hands-on approaches to demonstrate engineering excellence This position maps to a Director-level career band within Mastercard (without People management responsibilities)All About You Education Bachelor or Masters degree in the area of Computer Science or equivalent ExpertiseBusiness Domain Payments tHas experience working in the Payments domain tHas experience in customer onboarding, issuance of Debit, Prepaid and Credit cards with different card types of magnetic stripe, EMV, contactless, virtual devices tHas experience in supporting financial transactions of schemes of Mastercard, Visa & third-party switches via different channels like POS/QR, ATM & Ecommerce tHas experience in 4 party payment settlement and dispute management model tHas experience designing and implementing PCI-DSS compliant solutions tHas expertise in the Payment domain standards - ISO 8583, ISO 20022, PSD2, OpenBanking API tHas expertise in designing solutions across Card processing, ACH and real-time payments processing modelsArchitecture and Solutioning tHas experience leading the solutioning and architecture of enterprise solutions tHas skills to design and implement domain-driven architecture principles and implement API-first solutions tUnderstands encryption and digital signature standards and patterns (e.g. symmetric/secret-key - AES, public key, and hashing - SHA-2 and SHA-3) and recommend software or hardware (HSM) implementation solutions tHas experience designing and implementing solutions focusing on the non-functional concerns Performance, Scalability, Availability, Extensibility, Supportability, UsabilityTechnology & Engineering Practices tHas ability to write secure code in one or more languages/frameworks (e.g. Java, Angular, Spring Boot etc) and familiar with secure coding and vulnerabilities tHas skills to engage engineers across Technology organization to promote standard software patterns and reuse of common libraries and services Cloud & DevSecOps tHas experience designing/implementing Cloud-native solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, Serverless as well as migrating existing enterprise solutions to Public Cloud AWS / Azure tLeverages expert understanding of DevSecOps best practices to guide developers and implement fully automated software lifecycle from build to deploy to monitor to self-heal implementing security and governance throughout tHas skills to perform points of failure analysis and architect always-on solutions by building resiliency architecture (active/active/active) allowing seamless failovers between availability zones Leadership & Communication tStrong written and verbal communication skills tHas skills to succinctly articulate architecture patterns of complex systems, with business and technical implications, to executive and customer stakeholders tHas experience in leading and coaching teams to perform software planning and estimation for large scale complex programs tEnjoys collaborating with a team while working independently towards a goal.Due to COVID-19, most of our employees are working from home.
