Job Description

Member of Technical Staff QAWe re looking for the very best in QA who can ensure that the products delivered are of excellent quality. Our Big Data System Test team is tasked with test planning, test design and test case development to assess and improve the overall quality of our big data products. Also, the tests developed must be automated so that regression runs don t have to be repeated manually.Responsibilities:

  • Conducting requirements and design reviews of new features for the Big Data Platform
  • Designing high level test approaches and strategies
  • Identifying stress and performance test scenarios for the big data platform
  • Building libraries and utilities to help with writing test suited for the test framework
  • Working closely with development engineers to analyze and find root cause of failures.
  • Filing bugs and tracking them to closure.
Requirements:
  • Experience in test plan design and test case development for complex software projects.
  • Experience testing a systems product (file systems, storage systems, databases, operating systems, hypervisors, or networking).
  • Experience developing automated tests in Python programming language
  • Familiarities with technologies like - Kafka, ElasticSearch, Spark, HDFS a big plus
  • Experience working with REST APIs
  • Experience with telemetry collection agents is preferred
  • Experience with HTTP Proxy systems such as Apache Proxy etc is a plus
  • Experience working with Protobufs is a plus
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of System Testing experience in a Data center product company
  • BE or MS in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience Software Development or Test Automation in one of the following programming languages: Python/Perl/C/C++/Java (Python preferred).
  • Prior system testing experience of large scale deployments will be a big plus.
  • Experience with Big data technologies such as Hadoop, Kafka, ElasticSearch, and Spark
