• We are looking for a Risk Manager for APAC for a newly established risk function. In this highly visible role, you will support our APAC operations regarding internal control, compliance, and loss prevention, among others. Initially, your main task will be too, together with the Tube Division Risk Manager, further develop the internal control framework and a way of working for how the Tube APAC organization should manage risks, including analysis of the financial impact of potential risks, and creation of risk awareness and accountability of the same on all levels throughout our APAC organization.
• You will play an active role in supporting the organization in developing an effective internal control approach and ensuring and maintaining the internal control framework and its effectiveness. You will also support the organization in managing compliance risks as well as loss prevention measures, both commercially and technically.
Main Tasks
• Evaluation of the APAC risk profile as well as assessment of future risks and preparation of relevant information at each level in the organization Support, facilitate, develop and monitor internal control processes and procedures
• Creation and facilitation of risk awareness among staff and support to the organization to effectively manage risks through support and training
• Maintain routines and risk management control to ensure a solid process to eliminate and mitigate business risks in the Tube APAC organization
• Perform risk assessment within internal control and ensure compliance within the Tube APAC organization
• Maintenance and development of audit and other assurance processes
• Acting as an internal consultant for risk and internal control related topics across functions, locations, and hierarchal levels In close collaboration with regional APAC Management and Tube Risk Manager, drive risk-mitigating change management on all levels throughout the organization
Desired Candidate ProfileDesired Profile
• The ideal candidate will have a degree in finance or engineering preferably CA/ CPA with strong experience in risk management, such as internal control or from a top audit firm or reputed manufacturing organization. If you have experience in project management or from other leading roles, we see it as meritorious. As this position has high international exposure, you need to have very solid communication skills to build relationships and collaborate with people from all over the world. The candidate should have at least 5 years relevant experience
• To thrive in this position as Risk Manager, you need to be supportive, responsive, agile, driven, and show attention to detail. In addition, you are well used to planning and organizing your work in a structured way and you adopt a service-oriented and practical approach to both supporting and ensuring organizational compliance. You should have a good business acumen to establish internal controls and other risk-mitigating activities, which are effective and value-adding in practice for the business. You must have a strong pedagogical and communicative ability to excel in this role.
