Job Description

For this role we believe you have Bachelor degree in industrial automation , electric automation or mechanical electrical integration is a plus. 3-5 years Safety/ Security management experience. First Aid and Disaster response skills. Fire system, security monitoring and alarm equipment experience. Apprehension, interview and interrogation capabilities. Possess understanding of local laws, fire codes, etc. Good at English. Computer literacy.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement and improve safety security management system in DC Pune by following IKEA Group Risk Manual - DC, India local relevant legislations and insurance partner s requirements. To better protect IKEA property and maintain a safe and secure environment for all co-workers and visitors.
  • Ensure compliance with IKEA Risk Management standards and all local safety security laws / regulations on a consistent basis via a regular series of audits, follow-up, education, training and reports
  • Lead the internal and external safety security team to implement DC safety security routines, and to better support DC operation business Initiate and monitor internal external incidents/accidents and provide rapid response, investigation and reporting of all emergencies
  • Lead the team to coordinate all fire safety equipment and activities, organize fire drills as required
  • Work with other functions to implement loss prevention routines
  • Review Safety Security budget and manage the security service contract annually
  • Develop internal Safety and Security co-workers
  • Develop, conduct and coordinate training of associates in the area of safety security and occupational health.
  • Evaluate, implement and maintain PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in place.
  • Develop, plan and monitor all internal and external Fire and Security related systems
  • Implement and coordinate the Safety Health IWAY Committee
  • Coordinate insurance programs and handle claims
  • Work closely with outside agencies (police, fire departments, fraud agencies, insurance companies, attorneys) as required
  • Coordinate necessary safety reports, permits, communications and safety self-assessments etc.
  • Implement other tasks assigned from Facility manager.
