Job Description

Description

The incumbent will be responsible for applying accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, preparing accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensuring appropriate accounting control procedures. You will also be responsible for distribution of various internal financial statements to management, maintenance of the organization s general ledger, and ensure all transactions and documentation complies with US GAAP and Indian Accounting Standards.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for monthly MIS, consolidation of Books in Oracle and closure of Books of Accounts
  • Scrutinize General Ledger
  • Provide support in US GAAP entries
  • Analyze cost drivers for all locations across India
  • Work with plants on rolling forecast for cost parameters
  • Support in analysis of sales for rolling forecasts
  • Track financial indicators of Trade Working Capital
  • Participate actively in monthly rolling forecasts
  • Responsible for collecting, analyzing and compiling information for annual budget
  • Key role in controlling fixed cost budget
  • Provide financial information and analytical support to internal customers as and when required
  • Support for other MIS requests as and when required from local management/Asia/US
  • Support in annual cost audit and preparation of long-range Profit Plans
Requirements
  • Chartered Accountant or Cost & Works Accountant
  • 4 - 8 years of relevant experience
  • Experience and knowledge of cost accounting will be an advantage
  • Working experience in ERP environment (Oracle preferred)
  • Expert knowledge of MS office, especially Excel and Power-point
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have analytical ability and clarity of thought
  • Good team player
