Roles & Responsibilities:Responsible for supporting the data quality tools (IBM Infosphere) by providing technical insight, support & monitoring for the systems by partnering with the business, technology and the Enterprise Data Governance teams.Support the establishment of policies, standards and processes that will be developed and maintained to support the data governance platform. To utilize tools to support/maintain the existing data quality systemsDuties
  • Monitor critical processes and ensure operation without underlying failure
  • Assist in providing technical information and operation of processes for IBM tickets
  • Work with data owners to implement guidance on implementing data quality rules
  • Import Metadata as per ingestion forms following outlined standards
  • Understand overall architecture of Infosphere tiers and capable of understanding how they integrate together
  • Assist in Integration of new technologies into the governance catalog
  • Migrate Projects as per standards defined.
Skills
  • Background in Application Administration a big plus.
  • Background in Infosphere Information Server is a big plus
  • Understanding of SQL development and query
  • Strong in command line skills in Unix and Windows
  • Understand Administration and Configuration tuning using Command line
  • Understand Security Roles and implementation within application
  • Ability to discuss data abstractions (entities, attributes, tables, columns, documents, and sematic relationships between entities) with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to discuss technical abstractions (server, service, repository, patterns, queries, streams, queues, etc. ) with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Understanding of systems in regards to data quality
Experience:
  • Maintaining and supporting Application Platforms. (4 years)
  • Multi-tier Architecture Product
  • Data Governance Products

  • Unix Skills (3 years)
  • Windows Server (3 years)
  • Experience in building ETL jobs
  • RDBMS Database systems: Oracle, DB2, SQLServer, MySQL
  • Knowledge in NoSQL/Cloud: MarkLogic, MongoDB, CosmosDb, Casandra, DynomoDB
  • Knowledge of cloud computing services such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud
  • Likes to have: IBM Infosphere Information Server, Java, Unix script and Command Line
Education:
  • Bachelor s Degree, Computer Science
