Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.Introduction:Markets Data Science Technology team is responsible for building and supporting a data science platform and providing the tools and frameworks for quants and analysts across multiple business groups and multiple asset classes to perform quantative analytics and build machine learning models. As a software developer, you are going to design and build core parts of the platform and interact with multiple stakeholders to provide the most suitable solution for their needsWhat will you be doing Design and develop critical components of the system Help with the overall platform architecture Work on microservices infrastructure such as authentication, authorization, service discovery, load balancing and auto-scaling Build streaming and storage data solutions for large volumes of market and trading data Participate in design and code reviews Assist data science and product teams to implement and productionize model driven machine learning tools and technology Support and manage the existing platforms used heavily by the usersWhat we re looking for:15+ years of application development in Core Java (collections, multithreading, async programming, concurrency), designing, coding, and debugging Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, sorting and searching techniques, design patterns Spring/Spring Boot, J2EE (JSP, Servlet API) Experience using Kafka or similar messaging middleware Experience releasing to production and supporting production environments Excellent problem solving skills, independent and proactive about coming up innovative solutions Teamcity CI/CD pipelinesSkills that will help you in the role:Experience with web application servers (Weblogic, Tomcat etc.) Experience with middleware platforms like Solace, Tibco Experience with database technologies, data modelling, or data preparation Experience with service observability and mesh architectures such as Istio is a plusWhere will you be working Pune Be More at Barclays At Barclays, each day is about being more as a professional, and as a person.
