IB Global Market Collateral Tech is looking for a senior Java developer to come into the team and hit the ground running. The successful candidate needs to be able to work in a fast paced and pressurized environment. The team needs a personable and mature individual to contribute to the effective running of this highly skilled team. The developer will be responsible for specification, design, and development of components within the financial system as well as providing senior direction through mentoring and peer reviews. The developer will lead and guide the team towards developing strategic solutions in the collateral space.Your teamThe IB Global Market Collateral Tech team develops and maintains a suite of applications that comprise the Collateral Management and Reporting system. The system is used for the calculation of margin of OTC Derivative, Repo, Financing and FX products. It is a cross-product system that assimilates data from across the bank, representing over half of the banks traded products. Members of this team work closely with Global Collateral Management, as well as traders from all business areas, trade support and business development analysts to provide global solutions for varied business requirements. The system is the basis of the next-generation margin management system., A qualified candidate must have the following: degree in a Computer Science related discipline or equivalent minimum eight years developing software utilizing Java J2SE minimum four years developing software utilizing Spring framework solid Object-Oriented analysis and design skills solid understanding of core Java concepts good understanding of Design and Architectural patterns. experience in performing and receiving peer reviews of source code strong organizational and quality assurance skills strong communication and interpersonal skills In addition, the following skills are desirable: financial/capital markets background or work history experience with development tools similar to Eclipse/IntelliJ, Subversion/GitLab, Jenkins, and Maven. experience working in Agile development lifecycle experience working with development lifecycle software such as JIRA exposure to project planning concepts and tools*#LI-SS1
