Throughout the industry there is mounting pressure on organizations to do more, requiring a clear technology strategy that not only addresses the demands of today, but also enables the growth and performance of tomorrow.What you will be doingThis position works with top investment banks, Brokers to design technical and functional solutions and implement products in the Post Trade domain, enable client changes, enable professional services solutions; provide presentations around solutions; support estimations, respond to RFIs and RFPs around the services provided, while working with sales.What you bring:Plan and manage application development and client delivery activities for an assigned application portfolio that may include small and simple software applications, moderately complex software applications or components of large and complex software applicationsExperience 4 to 8 yearsGeneral Duties & Responsibilities:Designs and develops software product applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software applications for internal use.Manages full software development lifecycle including testing, implementation, and auditing.Performs product design, bug verification and beta support which may require research and analysis.Resolves critical issues and contributes to the business unit/area development.Manages work efforts of managers/supervisors with responsibility for hiring, firing, performance appraisals and pay reviews.Identifies and allocates technical resources, e.g., programmers, business analysts to client projects within Development. Includes a mix of FTEs assigned to the development organization and purchased resources from other lines of business.Forecasts resource needs based on an analysis of both portfolio and projected client spend.Maximizes both utilization and profitability of assigned team of resources billable time.Ensures base applications meet appropriate quality standards.Adheres to the departmental application development and client delivery process standards.Provides input on product direction to product managers.Coordinates with industry compliance consultants and product managers to verify applications meet regulatory compliance.Ensures proper application of technology.Ensures base applications meet appropriate quality standards.Other related duties assigned as needed.SkillsKnowledge of FIS products and servicesSkill in project management, organization, communications, analytical and people skillsSkill in leading, supervising and managing effectively under pressureAbility to be comfortable interacting with executive level clientsAbility to analyze clients business needs and determine related information services supportAbility to maintain positive working relationship with clientAbility to manage multiple projects, activities and problem areasAbility to delegate projects to qualified subordinates as appropriateAbility to lead, direct and manage effectivelyAbility to operate independentlyAbility to exhibit solid decision-making and problem solving skillsAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingEducation Requirements:Bachelor s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.SkillsKnowledge of methods, tools and technology used in software testing Knowledge and use of quality management methods, tools and technology used to create and support defect-free, application software that meets needs of client/business partner Knowledge of basic principles, processes, phases and roles of application development methodologies Knowledge of primary database engines with a demonstrated ability to write complex queries to be used for data validation and troubleshooting Knowledge of object-oriented development tools, techniques and principles with expertise in at least one object-oriented language Knowledge of functions, features and components of existing and planned operating systems and applications Skill in understanding and focusing on the client needs Skill in analysis, solid decision-making and problem solving Ability to work in an agile development environment where developers and testing personnel work closely together to ensure requirements are met or exceeded Ability to deliver results under pressure Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and teambuilding skills working with technical and non-technical individuals Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, vendors and publicCompetencies
