Job Description

Senior Legal Counsel - India A global leading energy company is looking to hire a Senior Legal Counsel - India to be based out of Pune location. The company is headquartered in Pune. This Senior Legal Counsel will be reporting to the General Counsel - India who is an expat. Job Responsibility :1. Manage the due diligence in acquisition process2. Take charge of the negotiation and preparation of legal documents for bid submittal, including mark-ups of project/acquisition agreements and EPC Contract for a specific project3. Lead the drafting and negotiation of O&M agreements to ensure quality and consistency in the risk allocation of the O&M business in India4. Provide prima facie dispute resolution advice and counsel, if any, to project companies and operation and maintenance companies whether arising under contracts with third parties or with other affiliates of the GroupInternal Interfaces :- General Counsel - India- Business Developers- AIFA (Acquisitions, Investments and Financial Advisory) support for projects- Technical Support for projects- Project CompaniesCandidate Requirement :1. 12-16 years of legal experience 2. Large law firm experience (top tier law firm)and/or large international corporate practice. 3. Experience in Indian Energy Industry4. Experience in large infrastructure project development 5. Experience in Project Finance is an added value,
