Job Description

    This is a Technical role with People Management experience. CCNP and above certification. CCIE would be preferable. Should have solid exposure in networking technologies like routing, switching, load balancing, firewalls, Security etc. Experience in Data center networking technologies. The successful candidate will provide hands on Vendor, Network and System administration as a leader of the technical team responsible for Global Trading infrastructure in a dynamic 24/7/365 production environment. This role requires the candidate possess a broad and deep technology knowledge as well as project and people management skills. The role also requires an interest in the business side along with excellent organizational and communication skills with a commitment to excellence. Essential Responsibilities: Responsible to be a hands on manager of a team that supports a global network 24/7/365. Responsible to be the main point of contact for technology team stakeholders in the United States and Europe to ensure work is properly managed. Responsible to enforce production rules, assist and develop team members with regard to network and system skills along with troubleshooting skills Responsible to ensure issues are properly escalated, handled, closed and documented. Responsible to uphold client and internal SLAs with regard to Network and System uptime As part of a global network team, manage and troubleshoot L2/L3 unicast and multicast traffic throughout the corporate network. Assist with installation/maintenance of hardware Document all network physical connections with attention to detail and accuracy, create network diagrams using Visio, update network team wiki documentation routinely Assist the team in working with service providers to establish connectivity to the internet, financial exchanges, extranets and other third parties. Assist in managing the firewall and VPN connections to remote offices and customers over the internet. Support and troubleshooting of network and system issues and incidents Commit to off-shift work with rotating on-call coverage Manage network connectivity with our customers and stock exchanges and other third parties Work with Telecom providers for delivery, installation and configuration of circuits Provide technical assistance and resolution for network incidents and problems Work with internal operational teams to resolve problems and implement new environments Follow and enforce operational procedures related to incident management change management and shift turnover with proper attention to issue severity and detail. Work with other infrastructure groups and end-users to identify and troubleshoot performance issues in an enterprise environment Apply advanced skills to resolve complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices independently Position Requirements: Minimum 3-5 years managing a network team in a global NOC environment Minimum 7 - 10 years LAN/WAN experience with an emphasis in configuring routers and switches in a production environment. 5 to 10 years of experience in a large, complex network environment 5 to 10 years of experience managing DNS/DHCP, MPLS 5 to 10 years of experience in a large, complex network environment using Cisco Nexus (7000, 3k, 55xx and 2xxx) and Cisco 65xx, 45xx, 3xxx series switches. Various Arista Series switches. Avaya/Nortel 86xx, 55xx, 25xx, Demonstrated experience and strong fundamental knowledge working with the IP packet capture tools such as Network Physics, Wire Shark, Ethereal, etc. 5-10 years of proven success of the above job description responsibilities with experience in support of a multi-location enterprise wide area network Hands-on experience with the above listed solutions Experience with Arista and Cisco routing and switching platforms. A good understanding of OSPF, EIGRP and BGP routing protocols; PIM multicast, TCP/IP, VLSM and ACLs. Excellent troubleshooting, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Fluent English speaking/writing Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment Strong customer service focus and excellent interpersonal skills Must be a self-motivated and a team player Ability to drive and close projects Quality Oriented, pay Attention to Details/Meticulous EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / REQUIRED Bachelors degree in computer science or information technology and/or demonstrated ability through work experience Recommended but not mandatory: Cisco CCNA or higher certification Red Hat certification Fluency in French, Spanish or Portuguese is a plus,
