Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring a better healthcare experience to our patients. You will be responsible for the success of our Engineering team here in Pune and unlock Pune office s potential to solve Zocdoc s technology problems and accelerate growth in bookings through round the clock support for our sync features. Availability and bookings are at the fulcrum if giving power to the patients and you will be at the centre of driving this, here in Pune.

Your Day to Day Is
  • We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing Engineering team.
  • As an SSE, youll work on enhancing our backend systems, legacy internal tools, and integrations.
  • Youll be contributing across the stack with technologies like C#, .NET, ASP.NET
  • Youll be collaborating with our agile team of dedicated engineers and product managers in NYC
  • Youll be leading the development of ZDs internal tools, work closely with the users of those tools, and mentoring junior developers on the team
  • Youll be providing and seeking feedback on improving workflows, technology, process, and user experiences.

You d be Successful in This Role if You Have

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Bachelor s and/or Master s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Scala/Java (preferred)
  • Successfully mentored other engineers in the past and encouraged your peers to use software
  • development best practices for code testing and deployment
  • Experience serving as technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from conception, detailed design, scoping, implementation, testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance
  • Passion for technology and the ability to think critically about performance, scalability, and reliability of software.
  • Excellent knowledge of relational databases - SQL.
  • Experience in Test automation in CI, cloud services like AWS (specifically, tools like Dynamo, Lambdas, Kinesis) is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills, but still be able to work independently to accomplish team goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to learn quickly and readily adapt to change.
