Job Description

    We are looking for a versatile Senior Software Engineer for the Intelligent Video Analytics Applications Team. NVIDIA is developing solutions for smart-cities and smart-retail by building super-integrations of NVIDIA SDKs ; Metropolis for Vision AI, Riva for Speech AI , Merlin for Recommendation Engines and Omniverse for 3D Graphics. Our team is dedicated to developing end-end solutions across these SDKs and contribute to all steps of the Product lifecycle: from conceptualization, to applied research, engineering for optimized inference, and large scale deployment. Our most recent announcement: https://nvidianews.nvidia.com/news/nvidia-announces-platform-for-creating-ai-avatarsWhat youll be doing:You will develop hardware-accelerated audio and video analytics applications that enable rapid creation and deployment of end-end solutions using the latest artificial intelligence and distributed system technologies. You will provide the foundation for a platform to solve a wide variety of smart cities problems. This position offers you the opportunity to collaborate within a worldwide matrixed software development team, and have broad impact within our highly-dynamic and technology-focused company. Responsibilities include:
    • Create Intelligent analytics end-to-end solutions incorporating perception, speech and analytics for heterogeneous computing platforms
    • Architect and evaluate AI edge IOT technologies using state-of-the-art microservices architectures to build hybrid and cloud-native solutions
    • Develop standardized APIs and schemas for system integration
    • Implement and develop applications and solutions using the latest distributed technologies to ensure scalability, reliability, efficiency and security
    • Tackle complex system-level optimization and resource utilization challenges
    • Participate in a product development lifecycle that values high-standards for clear requirements, software quality and performance
    What we need to see:
    • Significant software development experience on Linux. C/C/Python preferred.
    • Bachelors of Science or Master s degree with proven experience in software engineering or full stack development (or equivalent experience).
    • 5 years of relevant industry experience
    • Strong background in design, implementation, and performance optimization of large scale distributed systems.
    • Hands-on development and deployment of high quality, highly distributed cloud-based RESTful web services
    • Enthusiasm for extending your technical knowledge into new areas
    • Strong analytical skills and proven success in problem-solving and achieving performance objectives
    Ways to stand out from the crowd:
    • Prior experience with use and implementation of media graph APIs (pipelines) and multimedia APIs and frameworks, including open source software projects such as Gstreamer and FFmpeg
    • Experience with the application of computer vision, conversation AI and/or artificial intelligence to video or audio streams
    • Experience with containers and deployment automation tools such as Docker (Jenkins, Spinnaker) and orchestration technologies like Kubernetes, Helm Charts
    • Demonstrated experience in using message oriented middleware such as Apache Kafka, MQTT, Redis
    • Full stack or back-end software development experience and best-practices
    • Experience developing and sustaining commercially-available software products through a full product life cycle
