Job Description

We, the DirectX Graphics Performance team, are looking for a Senior System Software Engineer. As a driver performance engineer, you will work with a team of highly qualified engineers whose mission is to achieve the best possible performance in the latest DirectX game titles on current and future generations of graphics hardware. Do you have a real passion for GPU performance If so, you could be an excellent fit for our team!What you will be doing:

  • Analyze key DirectX titles and benchmarks to identify performance bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement
  • Optimize real-time rendering techniques to support the constantly evolving performance requirements of modern game engines
  • Implement support for next-generation graphics APIs and up-coming Windows operating systems
  • Our team tackles a variety of graphics-related software engineering problems that directly impact our end-users
What we need to see:
  • B.E./B. Tech or higher degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science/Engineering and related field
  • 4 years experience with strong systems-level programming skills in C and/or C
  • Familiarity with computer system architecture, microprocessor, and microcontroller fundamentals (caches, buses, memory controllers, DMA, etc).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in a team spread across multiple time zones
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
  • Experience with a graphics API such as DirectX or OpenGL
  • Insight of real-time 3D rendering algorithms and GPU architectures
  • Experience on the Windows platform with strong systems-level debugging skills
  • Experience in performance analysis of complex systems
  • Deep understanding of systems architecture: CPU, GPU, memory, display, buses, kernel internals would be useful
