Job Description

NVIDIA is searching for a Senior Multimedia Software Engineer for developing multimedia technologies for a NVIDIA Jetson platforms who is an expert C/C programmer, knows system programming fundamentals and Multimedia domain knowledge. We are the L4T Multimedia Group that designs and develops, Video and Multimedia solutions for application mainly on Jetson platform ranging from Intelligent Video Analytics, Video Surveillance, Autonomous Drone, Commercial Infotainment, Professional Video Conferencing (VC), etc. You will be working on the cutting edge of Video & Multimedia technologies and will have an opportunity to work alongside some of the best people in the domain. Strong collaboration and communication skills are a prerequisite for joining a multi-disciplinary and world-wide team driving the evolution of smart cities.What you will be doing:

  • Work alongside brilliant engineers on Video and Multimedia technologies to, design, develop and optimize SW on Jetson Platform.
  • Learn to extract/harness maximum performance from hardware.
  • Build innovative solutions for difficult problems.
  • As part of our team, you will be exposed to the latest developments in the dynamic space of Video Compression, Multimedia Technologies.
  • You will be working on various multimedia frameworks and standards like Gstreamer, V4l2, FFMPEG etc.
  • Learn about the latest Standards for SW development and best practices in embedded linux domain.
  • Learn how to build immaculate and absolutely bug free SW.
What we need to see:
  • Bachelors of Science and higher or equivalent experience. Masters degree preferred.
  • 6 years of experience.
  • We are looking for someone whos a quick learner & disciplined.
  • Proficient in C/C, strong software development, optimization, and debugging skills.
  • Exposure to Video Compression standards & algorithms and Multimedia Technologies.
  • Good experience in Multimedia frameworks like Gstreamer and Video for Linux 2 standard, FFMPEG.
  • Familiar with Embedded linux development environment.
  • Fundamental knowledge of and experience in, software design & programming, optimization and performance characterization.
  • Having knowledge in WebRTC, Chromium, FireFox will be an additional advantage.
  • Familiar with Device driver, display, Direct Rendering Manager (DRM) will be an additional advantage.
  • Track record of on time delivery on commitments.

  • Passionate about learning and experimenting with the latest technologies such as Machine learning, Robotics even if your primary job may not require you to do so.
  • Reasonable understanding of video compression standards (H.264/H.265, VPx, AV1).
  • Experience with good Software Development Process.
