Job Description

    Senior Technical Program Manager OverviewThe File transfer as a Service team is looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager to drive forward our product strategy to build the future of File Transfer Service. The ideal candidate will conceptualize, rationalize, and drive multiple simultaneous projects to deliver engineering work across the portfolio in a Scaled Agile execution model. You will contribute to the strategies necessary to build comprehensive, believable, and achievable execution plans to deliver high-profile new features and capabilities for our customers. You may drive the execution of a feature or a project which spans multiple teams and integrations, reporting meaningful status along the way.Role tPlan, execute, and deliver projects from inception to completion related to a known technology, product, or program. Describes and maintains the integrated plan that accounts for internal/external dependencies, differing delivery approaches, numerous constraints, and contingency for unplanned delays tSecures resources, scopes efforts, outlines priorities and establishes delivery milestones tProactively manage the end-to-end delivery of engineering work through the organization and all dependent organizations, reporting out progress, ensuring dependencies are covered, overseeing the gaps between teams, processes, and systems, while removing all blocking issues leading to a successful delivery. Accelerates progress by driving crisp, timely decisions tLooked to as first point of contact for projects. Can communicate with confidence 3 levels up. Is the source of truth for status. Transforms raw thoughts into clear and concise communications. Provides right information and associated data about the state of the project to the right audience at the right time. Runs effective meetings tHas experience in and understands industry technologies. Understands their program, product, or O&T domain. Sufficient depth/credibility to be effective with teams they work with. Can competently represent team s services to stakeholders and other teams. May need to bring developers or SMEs to meetings to talk details tProgram strategy defined. Delivers independently but will occasionally seek direction from peers/managers tNurtures good working relationships with engineers, managers, and peers tOptimizes previously defined approaches for a team or limited area. Can demonstrate improvements using data. Utilizes department mechanisms (i.e. retrospectives, staff meetings, status meetings) to describe and drive continuous improvementsAll About YouThe ideal candidate for this position should: tHave the ability to operate with independence and autonomy tBe skilled at breaking down problems, organizing work, planning sprints, and delivering technical programs in scaled agile delivery models (scrum) tEnjoy diving deep to understand the platforms capabilities and underlying technologies. tApply data driven decision-making and continuous improvement methodologies across teams tBe able to debate the delivery strategy with business teams, architects, engineers, and designers tBe a strong, confident, and exacting writer and speaker. Ability to communicate to executives, peers, and staff with impact, eloquence, and authenticity tHave experience building relationships, partnering with and influencing dependent teams while commanding the respect of the individuals you work with across the organization tHuge plus if you have knowledge of microservices APIs, CI/CD, NoSQL databases, cloud platforms and distributed systems operations in a DevOps model tBS in engineering, computer science or related discipline.,
