Senior Technical WriterPosting Location : Location IN-PunePosting date 2 days ago(9/30/2021 9:25 AM)Job ID 88557 Workday ID R-014349 Job summary The Red Hat Customer Content Services team is looking for a Senior Technical Writer to join our team of passionate open source content developers in Pune, India. In this role, you will be the voice of Red Hats technical authority, creating content that helps customers achieve their business and technical goals with Red Hat products. You will collaborate with content strategists, product managers, product engineers, support engineers, and other stakeholders to understand the customers perspective and create effective content solutions. Primary job responsibilities

  • Work closely with content strategists, engineering project teams, and other stakeholders to create and maintain high-quality content for Red Hat products and solutions
  • Engage and collaborate with the closed loop customer feedback program to address content gaps, act on direct customer feedback, and promote continuous improvement on the documentation experience
  • Keep up-to-date with product changes, customer use cases, and support issues by integrating with specialty teams from Global Support Services
  • Effectively manage documentation projects and deliver effective customer-focused documentation
  • Master the use of our internal documentation toolchain, including the publishing platform and issue tracking tools
Required skills
  • Bachelors degree, preferably in IT, computer science, or an arts or language field
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Familiarity with and knowledge of Red Hat products or related industry offerings (Linux, middleware, storage, cloud, or virtualization technologies)
  • Ability to read, write, and compile technical documents, including feature descriptions, customer use cases, and release notes
  • Communication skills in establishing and maintaining communication with subject matter experts and other project team members
