Job Description

The role is based in the Pune RD Center, at SAS RD Pune facility. For this role, you will join the Test Automation Team. We are looking for a Test Automation Engineers to develop the GUI and API automation framework/suites for the next generation products in Software Solutions Group. You will be independently responsible for developing automation suites for multiple software solutions developed with REST API and HTML5. You would be responsible for complex test automation frameworks involving multiple technologies such as Jenkins, Gradle, Git etc.

Furthermore, you will be joining a friendly team with a broad range of experience.

Essential Technology Experience:

  • 6 - 8 years of total working experience with at least 3 years of automated test development
  • Knowledge of Java programming language and flair for programming.
  • Knowledge of Scripting language such as Python , Shell Scripts etc.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and API Automation
  • Knowledge of Selenium Webdriver mandatory.
  • Knowledge of frameworks such as TestNG, Junit
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies
  • Good understanding of Object-Oriented Design concepts
  • Knowledge of Windows and Unix/Linux Operating systems
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, preferably in Computer Science, MCA or related discipline

Experience of these items would be useful:

  • Understanding of SQL / JDBC
  • Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes and related cloud technologies
  • Understanding of JavaScripts / CSS
  • Experience with Jenkins, Git, Gradle preferred
  • Manual test case/test scenario development execution experience

Primary Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops automated test suits for multiple products and release of SAS solutions
  • Develop and Maintain Generic testing frameworks and Reporting tools
  • Interacts directly with test managers and testers and defines and plans for test automation activities.
  • Maintains Continuous Integration environment.
  • Performs code reviews.
