We can t wait for you to discover this for yourself as a Software Engineer 2 on our Data Management team in Pune.This position is for the Data Management Division s PowerProtect Data Manager product and needs skills and experience of delivering solutions with high standards for the quality.Were developing the next generation Data Protection software, built on top of state-of-the-art technology stack. Youll be working with developing a technology/product for the Cloud Disaster Recovery (CDR) use case, using Java and Cloud Technologies at the heart of it.We work in large scale agile methodologies with the teams spread over the globe. Each scrum team has ownership of the component and works with the rest of the teams to deliver new exciting features.Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Collaborates well with other engineers and other engineering groups, voluntarily shares information.
• Offers proposed design changes/suggestions to processes and products, exerts significant latitude in determining objectives of an assignment.
• Works effectively with cross-functional and/or global teams, readily shares information with others.
Work Experience and Education
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science
• 2-5 years of hands on experience in coding.
Required Competencies
• Hands-on experience in Core Java, J2EE and experience with Java Web Application framework
• Experience in Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
• Good Knowledge of relational database concepts.
• Experience in the Spring Framework
• Knowledge about AWS, Azure, GCP or other Cloud Providers
• Experience in Web Service (SOAP and REST)
• Knowledge of version control, bug tracking systems (SVN, Git, JIRA).
• Practical experience of implementing design patterns is a plus
• Excellent communication skills
Desired Competencies
• Exposure to agile development process
• Experience in writing Unit Tests
• Experience with Linux and Shell scripts.
