    • Analyse the customer business and technical requirements to ensure the (sub-set of the overall) solution is aligned accordingly.
    • Leverage as much as possible standardised portfolio (service catalogue) and associated solution modules / building blocks and combine them to deliver the end to end technical solution. Involve IoT Global Delivery Centre resources for delivery expertise and coordinate their inputs into the technical solution process.
    • Lead overall solution that requires Solution Architect expertise of two or more Practices unless a Solution Manager is assigned. Identify appropriate services and delivery areas and ensure their services can be delivered
    • Obtain the required solution design approvals from business and delivery according to the existing processes
    • Support Procurement and Partner Management for the selection of new 3rd party partners and create a definition of statement of work arrangements
    • Provide input to the solution project on migration aspects
    • Compile and identify all costs that will be incurred in solution delivery. The costs may consist of standard and non-standard components. Take strategic viewpoints and target costing into account
    • Support the solution proposal presentations at customer locations (or virtually) and/or internal offices. Prepare the relevant part of presentation material related with the services, architecture and technology aspects of the solution.
    • Ensure that the results of risk assessment are documented in the Risk Register and are taken into costing
    • Throughout project life cycle, identify and assess all risk factors utilizing relevant checklists (risk analysis) and implement all opportunities for improving results
    • Devise suitable strategies for risk mitigation (elimination, reduction). Identify and minimize non-conformance costs
    • Identify with stakeholders the consequences of Change Requests and incorporate them into Solution Design when applicable.
    • Hand-over of customer granted solutions to the transformations / delivery partners at the appropriate and agreed time within the solution life cycle
    Skills & Competencies This section must include as much detail as possible and relate to the description above. Outlining the expected skills and competencies that the applicant will have to perform the role effectively. This section can also be used to describe the behavioural aspects required which will lead to successful performance in the role. General Requirements:
    • The Solution Architect is specialized in at least one and is additionally knowledgeable in at least one other of the following IoT Solution Architecture areas: Edge, Communication protocols, IoT Devices, IoT Platform (Cloud & On-Premise), Analytics & Data Science (Machine Learning & AI), Application, Integration, Network & Communications, Identity, Security (PKI, Certificates, Zero Trust) & Risk Management, Business Process Management, Enterprise Architecture Management, Middleware & Content brokers, Managed Services, Low Code Platforms
    • Ability to design & document end-to-end solutions based on standard portfolio (service catalogue) and associated solution modules / building blocks
    • High-level knowledge of IoT Practice portfolio while being aware of the full Atos portfolio.
    • Knowledge of Atos delivery methodologies and capabilities to develop and manage IoT Solutions.
    • Ability to design and validate business cases on associated costing to the designed solution and migration
    • Knowledge in various methodologies to estimate effort and in Atos standards for estimation (estimation tools & methodology, estimation guidelines).
    • Knowledge of risk management (assessment, mitigation, residual cost calculation). Results are delivered to the core bid team for consolidation, costing and decision making.
    • Ability to present IoT solutions (incl. cost impact) in contract negotiations with decision maker on content area
    • Ability to lead and guide development teams to ensure the developed solution is aligned to the architecture
    • Ability to work under pressure and remain decisive. Active goal orientation.
    • Ability to appraise and quality assure the work produced by peers
    • Very good analytical skills and an ability to define and articulate the precise nature of any given situation appropriately to the target audience whether technical or non-technical
    • Ability to work with several partners, evaluate and integrate relevant components/technologies into the overall solution
    • Expertise in one of the following vendor technologies and services: GCP, AWS, MS Azure, IBM, preferably with a certification in that technology
    • Demonstrable performance of GCM competencies according to GCM level
