Job Description

Masters Data Technology team with Architecture and Data Science Division is at the forefront of building BNY Strategic Reference and Masters Data Platforms. Initial Focus on the initiative is to stand up Client, Account, Product, Reference and Security Master.The Masters Technology team is looking for a motivated, Senior Business Analyst to coordinate with the end business users and teams to gather business requirements, translate them into technical requirements, and model the datasets. Candidate needs to have a clear understanding of the underlying data and overall program objective to explain the same to the developers. Will also be responsible for interacting with the technical development team to clarify and resolve doubts related to business requirements.Candidate is expected to be well versed in Agile development practices working hand in hand with Product Owners to map out delivery roadmap. Candidate will accountable for delivery working hand in hand in Platform Engineers managing the overall delivery across teams. • 10+ Years financial industry experience delivering platform solutions preferably in digital focused programs.
• Client facing role, expected to be Client facing and able to articulate application delivery schedules and conduct roadmap conversations
• Big Picture Solution Mindset, able to evaluate current state and identify gaps and present future state
• Creating a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for a business
• Must have strong deductive reasoning & diagnostic problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, fast learner, willing to go outside of comfort zone and learn new things.
• Strong database and data analysis skillset for understanding the underlying data and modeling datasets

Core Skills

• Experience in data analysis, data profiling and data modeling of master and reference data
• Strong Experience in the financial domain having knowledge about Asset Servicing, Asset Management, Custody business, Corporate Trust, Security and Treasury services and Wealth Management.
• Strong Experience in delivering technical platforms for Billing (or) Client Onboarding (or) Client Activation (or) CRM domains
• Experience in Master Data Management project with working knowledge of MDM cross reference, match merge rules and trust survivorship.
• Must be aware of MDM integration concepts with other upstream and downstream systems.
• Prior experience in performing large scale technology delivery management working with stakeholders
• Provide comprehensive senior-level business consulting to IT management and senior technical staff;
• Work with internal business and operations groups to identify and execute on opportunities, challenges, and Pre-requirements related to mastering data including client, account, product/services, and securities/prices;
• Analyze information and provides recommendations to address and resolve business issues for a specific business group;
• Participate in defining and executing master data management strategies across the bank.
