Job Description

  • This role primarily supports the data metrics program in the Data Governance team. This position reports the Data Governance Metrics Lead locally. Ideal candidate should have technical, business, and analytical skills to perform proof of concept analysis in a time-to-market manner to solidify clear business requirement. The position interacts with business stakeholders to ensure clear requirements are gathered, translate the requirements into timely data analysis and metrics display, work with technology partners to productionize and operationalize the metrics in business-as-usual mode.
  • Deliver end-to-end data analytics solutions independently for data governance processes:
  • Gather business requirements and translate into actionable steps for execution
  • Prepare proper documentation to ensure audit readiness
  • Deliver POC of data governance metrics
  • Recommend and implement solutions for data access and ETL
  • Build data models, analytics, and intuitive, audience-focused visualizations
  • Develop user-friendly documentation and lead end-user tutorials
  • Assist teammates in technical problem solving and identification of new analytics tools and approaches
  • Collaborate with user community and technology community to implement strategic solution
Qualifications:
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with diverse audiences
  • Appreciation for cultural diversity and difference
  • Closed-book expertise in data visualization tools and data modeling
  • General understanding of business needs, motivations, and bottom lines
  • Data management, API connectivity, and ETL
  • Knowledge of data governance processes and tools (Collibra, IDQ, issue management & remediation, etc.)
  • Competency with some leading data profiling tools (such as SQL, BI tools, etc.)
  • Competency with Alteryx, Power BI, SQL and Python, Pentaho, Denodo
  • Experience in Data Analysis, Data Architecture and/or Data Warehousing; preferably in a shared or enterprise data environment
  • Knowledge of the structuring of data environments and applications that use big data processes is a preferred.
