This exciting role offers opportunity to:
• At Eaton India Innovation Center, Digital Office is currently seeking a Specialist Architect to join our team! This position is based at our office in Magarpatta City, Pune.As the engineering technical specialist (architect) for Data and API platform technologies in our center in India, you will work in domain of IoT. This role is responsible for leading activities to generate and maximize value from data. The role will own all aspects of exploiting and monetizing data, strategically advance the competitive advantage.
• The role is also responsible for providing the business and analytics team, with the right data and services, identifying and extracting value and ensure effective data management execute flawless delivery and ensure data accessibility, all at the most effective and efficient cost. An individual would work on to build and maintain hot/cold data pipelines, exposing data and subscription APIs, data storage at scale, data catalogue, data events, data quality validation and ingestion of data coming from various sources such as device telemetry, external services, internal business and contextual or device meta data.
• As a successful candidate for this role will have had significant prior RESTful or GraphQL APIs, data engineering, cloud and Distributed System Architect experience. You are driven, team-oriented, with vision and an energizing leadership style to strategic influence and drive change. You have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and tasks while adapting quickly to changing priorities.
• Someone who is Passionate, who understands and inculcate Ethical values with Transparency. He/She is a quick Learner to upcoming technical domains and believes in leading the team from front.
Job Responsibilities:
• Building large scale APIs and message queues with industry standard security mechanisms.
• Designing and implementing critical high performance, large scale micro services and libraries.
• Building data pipelines for collecting & processing data from multiple data sources, from the point of ingestion to useful insight.
• Experience leading a full stack development of front end web UI, back end APIs, development portals for integrators and data flow through multiple platforms.
• Develop portal to upload and view data and insights
• Develop guidelines and supporting process for acquiring, storing, and leveraging of data.
• Implement effective cataloging for data, T&Cs and Costs.
• Automate everything for measuring, testing, updating, monitoring and alerting the data platform.
• Lead the development of the Data monetization framework, collaborating with the organizations Data Privacy and Legal teams to assess opportunities with appropriate consideration to risk control and data privacy.
• Technically drive diverse team of talented software developers, testers, Scrum Master, DevOps engineers, and stakeholder interactions.
• Work with Product Owner to set priorities, ensuring the achievement of deliverables and other milestones, collaborate with other engineering and product teams in the company, establish a technical growth path to team, and improve the way we deliver value to our customers.
QualificationsRequirement:
• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering /Information Technology/Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution required.
• Preferred - Master s Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ Years in front end and API development
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering such as data ingestion, storage, modeling, pipelines, sharing and security.
• 2+ years in microservices architecture
• Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles
