Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Arranging for new supplier assessment as per ANFIA / TS 16949 STD Guidelines
  • Carrying out activities to ensure all new developments of Sheet Metal, Plastic / Rubber, Electrical & Proprietary, and CFM (Casting, Forging and Machining) Part starting from design stage, APQP to PPAP approval stage
  • Preparation of SOR / Quality plan, Defining Inspection Methodology & Acceptance Criteria, PFD, Control Plan, PFMEA sign off by Supplier
  • Collaborating with the supplier and Internal Design team for part level DVP Finalization and compliance
  • Providing technical support to suppliers for new developments, conducting supplier trainings about special Process, Critical characteristics and monitoring process capability, Pp, Ppk, Cp & Cpk > 1.66
  • Coordination with Design, Planning, Materials departments to complete various project on given time period
  • Investigating supplier quality related issues in case of part failure and managing concerns related to product and processes by conducting Audits, gathers and analyzes data, resolves / facilitates resolution and implements corrective actions
  • Conducting closure of Supplier Parts Deviations Starting from T0 -Sample before SOP through supplier CAPA
  • Handing over of NPD Parts to Plant manufacturing, Quality after PPAP Approval and sign off
  • Carrying out ECN Implementation through above process for running products.
  • Establishing necessary strategy for improving quality issues arising from the production process, initiating short term & long term corrective/preventive actions and tracking till closure; performing engine tear down analysis & ensuring the implementation of corrective / preventive actions.
  • Administering measures to ensure compliance with quality standards; NORMAS, studying the process of manufacturing and conducting the quality audit.
  • Implementing Mistake proof / KAIZEN to ensure defect free supplies; assessing and taking into consideration all quality related proposals in order to instigate the improvement of the quality system and the operational procedures.
  • Examining and performing root cause analysis to ensure processes are in place to prevent recurrence.
  • Training, supporting and motivating the team members in order to ensure their safety, quality of their work and their commitment.
  • Supporting MR Office as CFT member considering TS Audit & MRM. Amending necessary documents required for compliance.
  • Imbibing the lessons learned from product families are shared with the platform team for new product development as input for prevention of repeated known issues
  • Forging collaboration with suppliers to improve manufacturing processes and deploy processes and tools
  • Monitoring supplier performance measurement, supplier audits and Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR)
  • Identifying technological advances, avoiding obsolescence issues, and searching for special requirements or alternate manufacturers/suppliers
  • Developing and ensuring implementation of process norms for management of suppliers by verification of products and services from the suppliers
  • Evaluating performance of suppliers, technical capabilities of vendor through systems and knowledge up gradations
  • Reviewing, analyzing and implementing results of quality audits at all locations
