We are establishing a Technology Development Center in our Pune location. We have exciting growth plans for the new center and partners from the center will be collaborating with their overseas counterparts in delivering technology solutions to some of the most complex business problems. We are inviting applications from confident & insightful candidates to be part of Northern s Technology organization. Major Duties
• Direct, oversee and plan the development and testing activities of team members.
• Provide mentoring and advice to team members.
• Coordinate development activities with other teams, including business partners.
• Interact with project and application stakeholders.
• Provide metrics and reports on development status.
• Review requirements and ensure software is developed in alignment with Bank standards, best practices and performance requirements.
• Understand, define, estimate, develop, test, deploy and support change requests.
• Work with and influence bank-wide architecture, design & development and security standards.
• Identify and manage the impact of any faults or issues.
• Work with application, infrastructure, messaging and data teams to identify and resolve support issues.
Experience
• 4-7 years of overall industry experience
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
Knowledge/Skills Candidate must have:
• 4+ years of experience of JEE and Java development tools (JVM, JRE, JDK), T/SQL, MySQL, JSF, JPA, CI/CD, SOA, REST, TDD, Dependency Injection, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES5/6)
Preferred/ Recommended:
• Considerable development exposure to IntelliJ, AWS / Azure, N-Tier applications, Microservices, Design patterns, Wildfly, JBoss EAP
General Requirements
• Fluent written & verbal English.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem solving skills are required.
• Experience of analysis, documentation and implementation of critical business solutions, utilizing many technologies, over tight business defined time-scales, using common software development life cycle methodologies is required.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle
• Self-starter and works effectively with minimal direction
• The ability to work successfully as part of a team and independently is required.
• Investment management technologies experience would be an advantage.
• A proactive and self-motivated attitude is a vital part of this role, as is flexible approach to work hours.
