Sr IT Application Specialist

Job Description

• The goal is to fully automate the overall lifecycle of code, deployment of code on On-prem, Cloud and general configuration management. You will be tested with providing Release/Change Management and Application Administration services as part of overall Business Application Maintenance and Support - inclusive of Finance, Sales, Service, Marketing, Integrations while working closely with development and other cross functional teams.
• Define and agree on release and deployment cutover planning with stakeholders.
• Scripting and Release automation of the release deployment processes and provide leadership on Release automation strategy
• Modernize software delivery lifecycle with single platform to support cross functional technologies and applications
• Ensure that all release and deployment packages can be tracked, installed, tested, verified, and/or uninstalled or backed out if appropriate
• Provide enterprise level software application administration expertise. Act as a subject matter expert within multiple cross-functional service teams.
• Recommend, request, and tune application monitoring.
• Experience of scripting and automation to streamline application support and troubleshooting.
• Maintain automated build/continuous integration systems. Ensure timely deliveries of production builds
• Ability to work independently and use good judgment in decisions affecting application administration.
• Be flexible and work in a completely dynamic & agile environment

Mandatory Skills:

• 6 years in IT positions with high-level problem solving and technical Project management experience
• 4 years of automation experience in Dev/Tools/SCM and Release Management in a similar business environment
• Hands on experience writing utilities using shell scripts, Java , PL/SQL
• Experience with Oracle Cloud technologies-OCI,Oracle Sales Cloud, Oracle Service cloud, Oracle ACE and CPQ
• Experience working with DevOps platform for Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Release Automation tool- Flexdeploy and similar
• Experience with middleware platforms such as Tibco, Tibco Mashery
• Experience in IT Service Management tool like ServiceNow and similar.
• Experience working on Salesforce(SFDC)
• Experience with administration of J2EE application servers (WebLogic, Tomcat, Jboss) in different operating systems (Linux, Unix and/or Windows)is a plus
• Broad understanding with programming and scripting languages (e.g. Perl, shell, Python, Ruby etc.)
• Experience in transforming automation technologies
• Experience with relational databases, e.g. SQL Server, Oracle ERP
• Experience with developing automation on cross-platform environments
• Enterprise level Version Control System like GIT/Stash, Perforce
• Experience or Good understanding of agile work environment
• Experience in Implementing Continuous Delivery pipeline with Maven, Ant, Jenkins, Docker, Sonar and AWS.
• Experience in Continuous Development / Continuous Integration based fast paced agile based development
• Willingness to work on high pressure environment, participate in 24x7 and weekend On-call support for deployment & maintenance tasks.
• Experience developing self-service oriented automation
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills, including the demonstrated ability to understand legacy systems, analyze complexities, communicate new optimization techniques clearly to a stakeholders based on solid data obtained from POC
• Ability to self-manage time, priorities and exhibit a comfort/mastery of managing multiple tasks, dedication to Service oriented nature of the job and be excited to help make engineering easy.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in container technology like Docker, and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Knowledge on working open source components
• Build, deploy, and manage software robots that emulate humans actions interacting with digital systems and software using RPA
