Job Description

  • Database Utility for I/O processing optimization in DBMS (DB2 / IMS / VSAM)
PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Product Developer, designing and supporting products for customers on the z/os platform.
  • You would be working on a product that requires you to understand and solve critical problems with innovative ideas to deliver a world-class experience to our customers.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our customers problems and work with a team of excellent engineers and designers to solve them.
QUALIFICATION:
  • 5 - 10 years of experience coding and implementing mainframe applications and system exits in an IBM z/OS environment.
  • Strong Diagnostics, Debugging, and Troubleshooting skills including IPCS use.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Assembler coding of a z/os subsystem, accessing z/os control blocks, and system storage areas
  • C/C++ coding skills
  • Strong expertise in z/os system internals and internal I/O interfaces
  • Experience with Media Manager I/O processing
  • Strong experience in JCL, VSAM, JES2/3, SDSF, ISPF.
DESIRED (NICE-TO-HAVE) SKILLS:
  • Experience with DBMS (IMS / DB2) Database Utility Processing
  • Experience interfacing with Quality Assurance as related to Z/OS application development, systems engineering, or software product development
  • Creating ISPF & GUI Interface Displays including program logic
  • Experience with Z/OS Systems Programming, & SMP/E Experience with RACF, SAF, APF authorization.
