Job Description

Job Duties

  • Read and understand requirements and search out ways to go big to solve the underlying problems
  • Be inquisitive and learn about the world of accounting, tax compliance, audits, and business practices whenever the opportunity presents itself
  • Architect the system as per business needs including database design.
  • Develops clean code, implements standard practices for the team and performs code reviews of team members.
  • Ensure that proper unit test framework is in place and ensures proper unit test coverage throughout development cycles.
  • Understand and plan upstream and downstream impacts of software changes
  • Develop from the perspective of an attacker and demonstrate every way something could go wrong
  • Work with product management and subject matter experts to ensure that each feature is useful for, and simple enough to be understood by, the target audience
  • Constantly seek out ways to do a better job and improve automation
  • Implement and follow agile/scrum processes

Qualifications

  • Computer science degree
  • 7-9 years of experience in a software development role shipping complex applications to large scale production environments
  • Demonstrable mastery of at least one language (C#, JavaScript / Node.js)
  • Demonstrable mastery of at least one database technology (MS SQL OR PostgreSQL OR NOSQL)
  • Experience with any of the front end technologies - React, node.js, Angular, Amber
  • Experience with .NET core and API development
  • Working experience on any of the Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to write great documentation
  • Passion to see your product be the best in the business

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
  • Deployment automation scripting experience (Terraform, Packer, Jenkins)
  • Experience of building CI/CD pipelines
