Job Description

Main responsibilities:

  • Design and implement innovative solutions for our clients
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, UI/UX architecture, interaction flows, develop prototypes
  • Work closely with clients, product managers and developers to bring ideas to life
  • Help establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
  • Troubleshoot, test and maintain the UI and related components to ensure strong optimization and functionality
  • Have a basic understanding of programming and databases to understand what is possible under time and budget constraints
  • Communicate with team members located in India and abroad
  • As the candidate will be working closely with the chief UX designer and at times communicating with clients, he or she must have an excellent grasp of English both written and verbal
  • Understand best UX practices and be able to recognise what makes other professional, well designed interfaces work well and learn from them
  • Must be a creative person with 4 8 years of proven experience in UI design
Responsive web development using HTML5 and CSS3
  • Experience of working on Dreamweaver or similar UI designing tools
  • Experience of working on Adobe suite of products mainly Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Knowledge and experience with Bootstrap, jQuery UI components
Experience of designing UI for Mobile applications
  • Knowledge of Sass, JavaScript would be a big advantage
  • Should be up - to - date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment with experience of using tools such as Jira
  • Knowledge of version control tools such as Git
  • Good knowledge of web inspection tools Firebug, Chrome developer tools
The candidate must have the following creative and interpersonal skills:
  • Must have common sense and this to everything they do
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and ideally an understanding of and interest in Western culture
  • Have a keen attention to detail and an eagle - eye for imperfections
  • Have empathy and genuinely care about the user experience
  • Be able to clearly communicate the merits of any interface to developers. The candidate must have the confidence to stand their ground and show why they feel their solution is the correct one but also be able to accept that it could be wrong
  • Ability to understand different design philosophies to create a clean , well - designed UI
  • Creative approach to problem - solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the big picture view
  • Be willing to try new things, make mistakes and accept failure
  • Be able to manage their time effectively and be comfortable accounting for it
  • Understand why Bruce Willis is no longer capable of being paid multimillion dollar sums
