Role Proficiency: Level of Proficiency: Enables the delivery of differentiated products that address a customer/market need and represent a viable business opportunity with some guidance from Product Manager II; in line with organizational strategy and goals, from conception through end of life. Outcomes: Manages the product throughout the Product Lifecycle under guidance from Product Manager II to enable the delivery of great products 1. Personal achievement of quarterly/yearly objectives (OKR, Assignments, HIG, Stretch goals) Outputs Expected: Plan to develop great products: Set quality product goals and key initiatives to meet the same Create and manage a product roadmap based on delivering value outcomes Write high quality user stories Facilitate the collection and prioritization of roadmap inputs and manage a living roadmap Conduct Product and Release Planning sessions with cross-functional teams Design to deliver great customer experience: Design customer-centric experiences throughout the customer decision journey Define user experience (e.g. wire framing, journey maps), partnering with product designers Write great user stories by capturing and translating customer stories into product features that deliver value and delights users Research the market to ensure an unfair advantage: Understand market trends, partner ecosystems, and competitive strategies Understand users, the marketplace, the competition and future trends for the domain or type of system being developed through customer and market research, competitive analysis, and rapidly acquiring domain expertise Define and articulate unique product and business differentiation Manage business to go to and win in the markets: Set goals and establish and manage to KPIs for product success (OKRs, Pirate Metrics, etc.) Protect assets and mitigate risks employing IP knowledge Manage great people: Lead teams, communicate with diverse groups, and influence change throughout the organization Set a vision of what s/he wishes to build and motivate the engineering team to deliver the vision Prioritize, delegate, influence, persuade, resolve Use great technology: Deep understanding and usage of tech stacks Use scrum / agile proficiency (backed up by CSPO / CSM certifications) to deliver projects Employ great technology in product management by diving deep into technology trends and architectures Employ great methods in product management : Understand different product management and development approaches Understand product usage models Skill Examples: 1.
