Job Description

Associate SDETOverviewOur Quality Engineering organization is looking for an Associate Software Development Engineer in Test to own manual acceptance testing and coverage for our software as a service platform. In this role, youll be responsible for test planning, test case development, manual test execution, and drive requirements to aligned SDETs on your team. The ideal candidate should have a clear interest and capability to learn test automation skills within 9 to 12 months.Our stack/tools include: Python, Flask, Jinja, ES6, Vue.js, Sass, Webpack, Redis, Docker, GCP, Terraform, Ansible, Memcached, Nginx, Snowflake, Looker, Matillion, TestCafe, TestRails, Jira, Splunk, NewRelic, Gitlab, Cypress, Postman, Kubernetes, GraphQL, Pytest, JavaScript, MySQL, Sentry, VSCode, ConfluenceWhat you ll do

  • Be part of a team working closely with other engineers and product managers in rolling out enhancements and new features or platform changes across Recharge.
  • Perform manual acceptance and exploratory testing on every change
  • Build test plans and test cases to drive customer-centric scenarios into current development processes.
  • Collaborate with aligned Product and Engineering members to review test plans and test cases for new features or updates to existing functionality.
  • Champion good habits (Quality Assurance best practices, agile methodology & ceremonies) within your team; improve testing standards, tooling, and processes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production and test environment issues for the aligned team.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to our fast-paced engineering environment, product, test tools, process, and best practices in the first 90 days.
  • Passionate to learn coding and automation focused technical skills between 9 to 12 months of the first year

  • Typically, 0 to 2 years of relevant manual testing, or customer support experience in fast-paced environments
  • Knowledge and understanding of software quality assurance fundamentals
