Job Description

The Role ResponsibilitiesJob RoleThe ERM Reporting Team is actively engaged in the generation of risk reports covering key metrics across the Financial and Non-Financial risk types for the Group, thereby providing timely information for effective risk management and complying with the regulatory requirements.The Non-Financial Risk Reporting team in RRSD - GBS consists of

  • Group Operational Risk Reporting
  • Compliance Risk reporting and
  • Reputational and Sustainability Risk Reporting
The reports generated by the team for the Senior Management provide an overview of each of the risk types across the Group as well as the respective Regions, Countries, Businesses and Functions of the Bank. Data Quality checks are performed, and outputs are shared to the respective forums.. Report Designing using Visualization tools, is carried out based on requirements from the users to develop and enhance standardized reports for the Group.Strategy

Risk ManagementThe ability to interpret the reporting requirements, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures.Governance
  • Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Groups arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Post-graduates / Professional qualification with 5 years experience in Risk domain.
  • Risk Certifications from established institutions is recommended.
  • Candidates with certifications and hands on experience related to Equities and shares as well as FM products will be preferred.
General Skill Set
  • A good understanding of various Risk types.
  • Good people management skills to manage teams working out of Chennai, Bangalore and Malaysia.
  • Ability to work on as well as lead the report generation process based on large data sets.
  • Incorporate controls in the processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Strong understanding of equity disclosure rules in various countries, such as but not limited to Singapores Companies Act and Securities and Futures Act, Indias Takeover Code and Prohibition of Insider Trading Regulation and such.
  • Knowledge and experience in making disclosure of equity position disclosures to issuers, exchanges and regulators.
  • Ability to craft clear business requirement documents for Technology and policies and procedures to guide team members executingfa aggregation work.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills - verbal and written.
  • Be a self-starter with an ability to work in a global team and be a hands-on lead for Reporting.
  • Be able to implement strategic ideas and enhance productivity and efficiency levels.
  • A good understanding of BCBS requirements.
  • Ability to track things to closure and demonstrate results without follow up.
