Job Description

The Senior Cloud Architect will manage Hitachi Energys ESS cloud architecture.. Implement scalable, high performance hosting solutions that meet the need of todays business and digital applications using both private and public cloud technologies. Plan and deliver legacy infrastructure transformation and migration to drive next-generation business outcomes.Responsibilities:

  • Design, architect and lead the implementation of Cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure Services.
  • Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud as well as greenfield deployments.
  • Assess and recommend public and hybrid Cloud solutions, including Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS).
  • Collaborate closely with security teams to oversee the overall cloud security posture, assess risks and make recommendations to mitigate the security gaps.
  • Execute short term strategic consulting projects on Microsoft Azure, assessments, POC/pilots, map solutions to client business processes, and develop value proposition and business case.
  • Provide advice on technical aspects of development and integration, including the operational and maintenance aspects of systems under development, and proposed system recovery procedures.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, scalability)
  • Advice key stakeholders on various Cloud solution options, discuss benefits and risks of each, and recommend a solution that aligns with the customers business needs and requirements.
  • Be a technical subject matter expert on both cloud and on-premises infrastructure systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or relevant field
  • 15+ years of overall experience and 8+ years of solid hands-on experience on various cloud platforms including Azure, AWS and GCP.
  • Strong experience in cloud architecture, design, and cost optimization/blueprints.
  • Prior experience in managing large scale cloud deployments and cloud migrations in Azure.
  • Consulting experience with large-scale implementations on Microsoft Azure
  • Experience in Azure Infra, Networks, Storage, Apps and Azure DevOps
  • Experience with Azure Resource Manager, Resource Groups, Virtual Networks, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Blob Storage, PowerShell DSC, Azure Automation, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Site Recovery
