Job Description

    The Software Project Developer SWPD creates customer-specific test, development and series program versions. Hereof result customer specific adaptations and validations, which are carried out in clearance with the Software Sub-Project Manager (SPjM SW), the Software System Designers (SW SD) and the function teams.Responsibility:
    • Integration of software packages to complete program versions (with the support of the Package Responsible for initial integrations)
    • Configuration changes for the program version and its verification
    • Creation and delivery to internal customers of test, development and series(1) versions
    • Creation of software containers for the plant and delivery to the calibration
    • Implementation of any necessary adaptations to SW sharing interfaces and validation of those adaptations
    • Creation of the program version documentation
    • Recording and documentation of the ECU resources consumption
    • Freeze and archival of the created program versions
    • Analysis of complaints about the software during development and series production(1).
    • Deliberation and determination of the project-specific tool chain for program creation with the tools department and the customer in case of SW sharing
    • Review of architectural design elements and related verification criteria in order to ensure the test ability
    • Develop Test Cases based on the architectural design elements and related verification criteria
    • Execute and document the SW- and System Integration tests and verify the results.
    • Review of automated Test Scripts
    • Support/ cooperation:
    • Supports the SPjM SW and the SW SD for project and program version planning activities with respect to the delivery date and software content
    • Supports the SW SD and the calibration during SW start-ups in vehicles and during testing(1)
    • Advises the SW SD on questions regarding hardware related software
    • Supports the SPjM SW for planning the ECU resources
    • Provides support in the quotation process
