Job Description

    Assistant Manager/Associate Manager To lead a team of inventory/warehouse. Manage inventory team, creating schedules, tracking and monitoring stock levels at the warehouse.Responsible for ensuring the department has the right amount of stock to meet customer needs and to avoid overstocking items. Primary Responsibilities:
    • To ensure timely initiation of material purchase request, receipt & issuance for development lab, and updating to Team leaders & stake holders.
    • Ensure the following activities are completed by team members within the prescribed time:
    • Providing required information to purchase team for the procurement activity
    • Ordering, Issuance of material (material inventory evaluation, PR creation, Tracking and coordinating with the purchase team)
    • Stock posting for the required material through SAP.
    • Establish processes for Inventory Management across BPD to ensure optimum stock of all the materials is maintained.
    • Monitoring optimum quantity of material as per the requirements and lead times for the procurement, receipt, and release.
    • Establish and monitor processes and Exigency plans for materials with long lead times or short expiry.
    • Ensure the optimized utilization of the materials.
    • Monitoring of expired chemicals discard process as per EHSS Rule.
    • Perform periodic review of inventory for ensuring material availability for all the ongoing projects.
    • Executes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems.
    • Oversees stock item master, identifying incorrect descriptions and stock numbers.
    • Ensures milestones and goals are met.
    • Ensures adherence to approved budget.
    Secondary Responsibilities:
    • Ensure execution of general maintenance of warehouse.
    • Performs additional related duties as assigned.
    • Training of Inventory Management staff.
    Required Skills Should have the capability to manage a team of 6-8. Proficient in handling of SAP handling for ordering related activities Awareness of 5S and operational excellence Proficient Handling the MS office and statistical data analysis. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail. Thorough understanding of inventory policies and procedures. Education
    • M.Sc/M.Tech/B.Tech in Biotechnology
    Relevant experience
    • 10-16 years of relevant work experience in Biotech company.
