Job Description

Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.We are currently looking at hiring Associates and Assistant Managers who would be closely working with stakeholders in the Textiles sector including the Ministry of Textiles, GoI, besides relevant Central/State government departments, industry associations, and private companies for promotion and facilitation of investments into various sub-sectors of the Textiles sector. The team member will report into the Sector lead of the Textiles sector.Key Responsibilities:- Identify and generate new leads in India and globally- Support in business intelligence and data analytics by proactively undertaking activities such as tracking announcements, company reports, and websites, and global news databases for identification of and outreach to international and domestic investors- Maintain database of stakeholders including companies, government agencies, associations, think tanks, and start-ups in the sector- Conduct extensive sector-specific and industry research- Create up-to-date and relevant knowledge content and collaterals for the Textiles sector including market opportunity, trends, policy initiatives highlight, success stories, brochures & flyers, country/ sector/ state profiles besides research on leading practices, and insights on replicable practices in the Indian context- Support the team in regulatory and policy guidance, issue redressals, ease of doing business measures in close collaboration with industry and Government- Organize stakeholder consultations, roundtables and investment promotion events pitching the investment opportunities across focus sectors to potential investor- Address ad hoc requests on Make in India portal and from various departments of the GovernmentQualifications :- Post-graduate or graduate degree in Post Gradate/ Management, Economics and related field- 1+ years of full-time work experience at a leading Corporate/Consulting firm or a public sector entity- Prior experience in Textiles is desirable. Familiarity with industry databases for intelligence gathering is a plus.- Strong communication, research, presentation skills with ability to think strategically- Proficient Microsoft Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver on tight timelines.,
