Job Description

    The Associate Manager, Reporting and Systems is a full-time role and is a member of Room to Read s Finance and Legal team. Reporting to the Director, Accounting and based in our Delhi, Global office, this position is responsible for providing comprehensive support for Room to Read s key financial reporting and planning processes and systems, including monthly Management Reporting, Annual Planning and Budgeting, and Statutory Financial Reporting. The Associate Manager will be a key player in ensuring the optimal use of our cloud-based financial systems in meeting the organization s needs for accurate, integrated and efficient operations. This person will work closely with colleagues across the Finance, Field Finance & Accounting (Field F&A) and Accounting teams in our US headquarters and India office. This is an excellent opportunity to develop strong financial planning and analytical skills in an international context while working at a high-impact and growth-oriented organization.Duties & Responsibilities:Management & Statutory Reporting
    • Process and validate Monthly performance reporting for operating units and our global office staff, including monthly accounting close data quality checks
    • Monitor and report on the timely submission of timesheets through system-based reporting
    • Prepare the consolidated Management report for C-level leadership, integrating reporting of actual vs. budget performance, statutory P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Statement of Functional Expense, Fund Balance, and Revenue to Cash reconciliation, Monthly CO_GO reporting structure development
    • Consolidate for executive review the quarterly reporting to the Board of Directors
    • Provide reporting support, as needed for various audits and preparation of the US Form 990 tax filing
    Finance Systems Optimization
    • Leverage Room to Read s systems to support the Accounting and Finance teams across the organization in the creation and maintenance of reports across our systems; build staff capacity for appropriate levels of self-sufficiency
    • Support the administration of our planning, general ledger, and timekeeping systems to ensure they remain tightly integrated and continue to anticipate the organization s need for efficient processes and high-impact reporting
    • Provide user access of Country Offices based on the approval of Field F&A team.
    • Manage the two-way integration between our planning and general ledger systems to ensure accurate and timely data is available to diverse audiences for decision making
    • Ensure accurate and timely integration between our Workday HRMS and budgeting system
    • Play a key role in systems enhancement projects, including design, results testing, project tracking and reporting
    • Maintain and update the planning structure and master data for world-wide planning and consolidation; integrate key drivers into our global Adaptive Insights planning system, including FX rates, labor inflation, and benefits rates
    • Supports users with technical advice, system training and troubleshooting; act as the co-Administrator for the cloud-based budgeting software, provide access and monitor license levels
    • Maintain the lease accounting software. Coordinate with the Field F&A team and other Global Office teams to ensure recording of all changes in a timely manner
    Qualifications: Required:
    • MBA Finance / CFA / Masters degree in Commerce or equivalent
    • 5-7 years of professional experience, including business budgeting and accounting systems
    • Demonstrable working knowledge of finance and accounting concepts
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
    • Strong financial reporting design experience for focused, high impact reporting and dashboards
    • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized; detail oriented and able to juggle multiple priorities
    • Prior success working closely and building relationships within a global and multi-functional organization
    • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
    • Prior experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization
    Preferred:
    • Experience in operating effectively with a diverse client base
    • Prior experience at an international non-profit organization
