As a part of the Reference Data Utility Data Research & Development group , you will be involved in research of Exchange and Vendor data feed onboarding process which will be used by the SmartStream Data Services Group. You will research and interact with the data sources , perform data mining on financial data and provide functional & technical specification for smooth implementation of feeds into the reference data utility. In depth research of financial data to support the Exchange Traded Derivatives & vendor data feed onboarding Sourcing and analysing instrument reference and pricing data available from exchanges around the world Performing feed analysis and mapping to onboard exchanges & vendor data feeds Work closely with Development and QA teams in order to help them to understand instrument reference data & data model requirements both functionally as well as technically Provide data flow diagrams to explain the requirements Collaborate with technology departments to develop , maintain and enhance reliable data feeds Vendor Management Key Skills Knowledge , Skills & Experience: Experience with collecting information from multiple sources (exchanges , vendors , etc.) and requiring attention to detail Experience and or understanding of data modelling and feed Mapping Experience and knowledge of pricing data , instrument reference data , corporate actions and industry standards Experience working with financial data; equities , options , futures , derivatives , indexes , ETFs , and or fixed income data Knowledge of and familiarity with major market data vendor feeds , e.g. Bloomberg , Thomson Reuters , SiX Financial , Moody s , S&P , Fitch and IDC Experience of working in an Agile methodology would be an added advantage Knowledge or familiarity with SQL and UNIX is preferred Excellent communications skills , both written and oral are required Ability to speak and write English , and read a foreign language is a plus Coordination and collaboration required with colleagues located throughout the world Willingness to travel (other development centres and or clients) Desirable Skills Qualifications Post Graduate (MBA , MS , MCA etc.) or Graduate (B.E , BSc , BCOM etc.) with at least 2 years of financial industry experience or have worked in a similar role ,
