Job Description

Job TitleBuyer: Global OperationsLocation(s)PerkinElmer (India Pvt. Ltd.)Position DescriptionTitle: Purchasing SpecialistSBU: Global OperationsDept: Reports To:Location:Summary:This role will be responsible for material planning and purchasing, ensuring all materials arrive on time for production, customer sale orders fulfillment and all major KPIs are achieved.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Production Planner on-demand requirement
  • Release purchase orders per system generated purchase requisitions and ensure all purchase orders are delivered on time
  • Proactively monitor material delivery according to SIOP plan to ensure no material shortage impact to production
  • Attend daily production meeting to communicate material issues and advise action items
  • Perform weekly inventory monitoring to ensure all raw material inventory targets are achieved.
  • Supplier performance tracking and management.
  • LRS contract negotiation- To drive increase LRS spend commodity by commodity
  • Review E&O and manage LTB activities to minimize obsolescence risk
  • Streamline processes and drive continuous improvement in performance and customer/employee satisfaction
  • Lead in special projects and key initiatives identified from time to timeQualifications:
  • Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related discipline
  • 3-5 years of experience in a dynamic and fast-paced MNC manufacturing environmentKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Experience in SAP
Ability to prioritize and work independently and proactively is critical for success,
