The incumbent will lead Strategic Sourcing for Biologics materials and responsible for driving sourcing initiatives and build a thought leadership in Biologics sourcing. The role is responsible to manage Source to Contract (S2C) process and deliver on all metrics.Key Responsibilities: Build Biologics Subject matter expertise and drive the Category management process by working with all stakeholders to maximize the sourcing productivity. Conducting strategic sourcing initiatives, including fact-based negotiations (supplier and industry analysis. benchmarks, cost structure analysis) and ensuring process compliance and high levels of customer satisfaction Defining supplier management strategy, aligning it with overall Goal, and executing strategic supplier relationship management with key suppliers. Build overall expertise around the Biologics materials by developing supply-demand market intelligence, technology trends, competitive intelligence, Price benchmarking etc. Identifying supplier risk areas and quantifying risk exposure, and executing risk mitigation actions The Category Manager is accountable for the direct management and cost target achievement for the sub-categories under management Follow environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace ensuring individual and lab/plant safety. Ensure environment, health, and safety (EHS) measures are imparted via training and adhered within the team.Technical / functional Skills: Sound knowledge on Biologics materials including Cell culture, Resin, Bags, Consumables, process Bags, API, Impurities, Working Standard, Excipients, and Packing materials SAP MM module Good knowledge on Import regulations for licensed and restricted products.
