Job Description

    *
    • This role is responsible for building, articulating and execution of KGS BTS strategy for FS tax engagements.
    • The role is also strategically aligned to FS tax leadership at DCC (Domestic Compliance Centre), responsible for aligning operational and delivery practices between KGS and DCC.
    • As a key member of US BTS FS leadership team this role is responsible for driving key initiatives expected to bring thought leadership aligned to the future of US BTS FS practice at KGS
    Capability Leader
    • The Role is responsible for collaborating to build and manage professional, tax technical and technological capability (relevant to FS tax practice) for KGS team in line with overall US BTS strategy.
    • Ensure that tax technical capability for US BTS FS team is aligned with US firm across all grades
    • Own and manage career architecture for FS tax professionals at KGS
    • Enable and build productive relationships with external entities to position KGS FS tax as preferred partner
    • As a leader, you need to understand and support change management activities and transformational projects including driving the implementation
    • Responsible for succession planning for the US BTS FS Tax team and ensure steady talent pipeline for future
    • Develop and implement strategy for Talent management including talent acquisition and organic growth in line with overall Tax strategy.
    Delivery Leader
    • Responsible for end to end delivery for a significant size of business in US BTS FS Tax compliance work within KGS
    • Ensures adherence with all US and KGS compliance requirements
    • Accountable for FS Tax delivery within agreed timelines and product Quality in line with KPMG standards
    • Work is delivered in line with agreed budgets and over runs are proactively managed
    • Key cost/operational metrics for FS tax are in line with BTS cost/operational metrics
    • Set and achieve Global People Survey (GPS) scores for BTS FS tax teams in line with the US BTS goals
    • Assist US BTS Tax Leadership team with financial forecasting and budgeting and drive fiscal prudence for the US FS Tax team
    • Own resourcing strategy and deployment plans based on changing business dynamics
    • Ensure all business and operational risks are closely monitored, effective controls are put in place, and RCA/action planning institutionalized
    • Proactively leverage technology to build and create strong process controls
    Stakeholder Management and Business Development
    • Nurture and manage key relationships with senior FS tax leaders across US member firm network and external entities, positioning BTS FS tax practice as the preferred service provider and employer of choice.
    • Identify and build on leads and leverage relationship to expanding KGS scope and coverage
    • Understand and identify new business opportunities with new tax laws/regulations.
    • Cross sell KGS capability on specialty services etc.
    Process Excellence
    • Regularly review of the KGS Internal and external processes for a lean solution
    • Define Process Excellence strategy for the US FS Tax business and accountable for Process Excellence initiatives
    • Building in a culture for continuous improvement mindset

    • Must be a US Enrolled Agent (EA) / US CPA license holder
    Years of Experience
    • The incumbent should have 14+ years of US corporate tax experience, hands on competencies in FS business, must have led large teams
