Job Description

Major Areas of Responsibilities:

Work closely with marketing, suppliers, SCM, Quality & customer care to develop concepts and value proposition and carry the development through to manufacturing.
Define technical requirements basis benchmarking, VOC, validate the assumptions and communicate them to the suppliers
Evaluate designs, prototypes for functional, safety, regulatory and statutory requirements point of view and provide directions to the suppliers for making products suitable for requirements
Guide Design high volume & high cosmetic plastic and metal parts, Aluminium Die Casting, Extrusion components, rubber parts and specifying finish
Effectively communicate your solutions in CAD, Keynote, and in front of a group
Analyze the product with respect to load cycles, CTQs and provide insights for product improvements
Review BOM, 2D drawings, Baloon Diagrams, technical specification sheets. Ensure proper control and distribution
Review reverse engineering projects and engage with external agencies to ensuring timely completion
Participate in NPD process from concept to product realization
Use statistical tools in engineering to define specifications for the products under consideration
Drive DFMEA with collaboration with QA, SCM, Consumer care functions, identify risks and potential risk mitigation plan
Adhere to ISO practices and ensure process compliances
Interact with tooling and development functions and review technical specifications basis manufacturing processes
Liaison with QA function for quality improvements in designs

Requirements:Looking for a highly skilled product design engineer who will collaborate and design system level solutions of the products under consideration basis engineering requirements, benchmarking and value proposition while meeting cost and quality targets of the product designs being executed. He will intervene in OEM ODM projects and lead them from concept to manufacturing through active actions and interventions needed from time to time.,
