Job Description

    • In this role you ll support mission and business-critical applications within Verizon. You will enhance the customer experience and build world-class solutions. Under the mentorship of a technical lead who would be supporting you on delivery, you will also work as a team member on various projects and mentor junior resources. You will help develop, implement, and maintain this important application.
    • Designing, developing, and maintaining applications by evaluating client needs, analyzing requirements, and developing software systems.
    • Executing full software development life cycle (SDLC) concept, design, build, deploy, test, release and support.
    • Testing and coordinating all user interfaces changes of Responsive Web Design.
    • Ensuring code delivered as per security guidelines such as OWASP, DAST, Source Code.
    • Ensuring application development sprint cycle is on track and adjusting the plan to meet release timelines.
    • Acting independently while also displaying excellent collaboration within and between various teams.
    • Understanding the domain knowledge and adapting to an agile environment.
    • Building reusable code and libraries for future use in front end and back end technologies.
    Where you ll be working:This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.What we re looking for.You are curious about new technologies and the possibilities they create. You enjoy the challenge of supporting applications while exploring ways to improve upon the technology. You are driven and motivated, with good communication and analytical skills.Youll need to have:
    • Bachelor s degree or one or more years of work experience.
    • One or more years of experience in Frontend technologies - JavaScript, React Framework, Node.js, HTML 5 & CSS3.
    • Experience with eCommerce applications development.
    • Experience with SDLC and Agile development.
    • Experience with cloud-native application development - Docker, Kubernetes.
    • Experience with building/deploying applications using Git, Maven, and Jenkins.
    Even better if you have one or more of the following:
    • A degree.
    • Knowledge of performance tuning, scalability, security for heavy traffic Digital Application.
    • Strong analytical, debugging skills.
    • Knowledge of OWASP rules and mitigate security vulnerabilities using security toole (e.g., Fortify, Sonarqube, Blackduck).
    • One or more years of experience creating REST Services, preferably using Spring, Microservices.
    • Knowledge of unit testing framework (e.g., Junit).
    • Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., NewRelic, Tapsium).
    • Ability to understand Agile and DevOps tools and technologies.
    • Experience working with agile methodologies (e.g., Kanban, TDD, Scrum).
