Job Description

About the role : This role entails day to day management of the operating tasks of the Accounting team; including delivering on month end close, financial statements, external audit deliverables, projects and training, development and mentoring of team members- Sound knowledge of financial reporting procedures and policies and experience with ERP systems like NetSuite.- Rendering assistance to auditors in conjunction with the external audit process.- Manage & oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including all bookkeeping functions, month and year-end processes, treasury and budgeting.- GL analysis and validation of trial balance.- Develop & enhance financial and operational processes in line with business strategy; while ensuring adequate financial controls, discipline and statutory compliance.- Issue identification, escalation and resolution.- Implementing best in class accounting practices.- Ability to manage, develop and mentor in a remote and/or partial remote work environment Required skills : - Experience managing, developing and mentoring a team of 3-6 people- Experience in US GAAP- Thorough understanding of accounting principles & standards- Experience with US Accounting standards preferred and/or IFRS- In-depth knowledge of accounting processes and controls- Analytical thinker with strong conceptual & problem solving skills- Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines- Hands on manager, but strong team player- Excellent verbal and written communication skills Education : - 5+ years of experience after CA Certification. 1 to 2 years experience in managing people.
