Job Description

    *We are recruiting for an Assistant Manager in the Corporate Finance - Complex Securities Valuation team. In this role, you will be expected to:
    • Value complex securities and equity-based compensation for mergers and acquisitions, litigation support, dispute resolution, financial reporting, restructuring, and financial advisory using Monte Carlo simulation and other quantitative techniques
    • Assist with valuing complex financial instruments and arrangements such as contingent consideration, derivatives, convertible debt and structured products (plain vanilla as well as exotics) using financial models such as binomial lattice and Black-Scholes models
    • Building and analyzing financial models and assessing assumptions and data which underlie the model
    • Analyze equity and debt financial market data and history using time series analysis, multivariate statistics, and other quantitative techniques
    • Review agreements, loan documents, and market research in order to capture salient points to be used for financial modeling purposes
    • Researching and monitoring industry best practices on valuation models and techniques to ensure that the valuation practice is in line with industry best practices
    • Manage workflow, delivery, and act as KGS point of contact for the onshore Geo(s)
    • Responsible for execution of end-to-end engagements , perform audit reviews and appraising third-party valuation reports
    • Be responsible for the high-quality timely delivery of projects by self and the team members
    • Build strong brand equity with onshore stakeholders
    • Lead/contribute to at least one CF team level task force; actively lead team discussions/ CF events / knowledge sharing platforms
    , * Mandatory Skills
    • An advanced degree in Quantitative Finance such as Master of Financial Engineering, Master of Science in Mathematical Finance, Master of Science in Quantitative Finance, Master of Science in Computational Finance from an accredited college/university. Professional qualification in accounting / FRM / CFA will be an added advantage
    • Coursework or minor in Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science or Data and Analytics preferred; coursework or knowledge of Matlab, R, STATA, SAS, VBA, SQL preferred
    • Strong grasp of quantitative finance, including models for equity, interest rates, FX, and credit, and valuation techniques including Binomial trees, Monte Carlo simulation, Least Squares Monte Carlo, Lattice models
    • Knowledge of financial modeling and analysis, statistical sampling, valuation calculations, and data manipulation
    • Knowledge of business valuation and intangible asset valuation, discounted cash flow models, and trading and transaction multiples would be advantageous
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and presentation/report writing skills, combined with a good understanding of business dynamics and commercial value drivers
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently, develop good relationships with senior management and Partners, and operate well within a team environment
    • The candidate must have 5 to 8 years of working experience in valuation roles
    • Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work
    • Strong team handling skills to effectively lead a team and guide junior colleagues
    • Ability to multi-task and handle pressure situations
